Frequently Asked Questions

How old do I have to be to take part in SPIMUN?

SPIMUN will welcome middle and high school delegates, from grades 7 to 12, between 12 and 18 years old.

How can delegates register?

All registrations must be done by the advisors of each participating school until the 10st of January, 2024. For that, advisors should fill out the Delegate Registration Form.

Will the committees have double delegations?

At SPIMUN there will only be individual delegations, to allow delegates to raise their points more often.

Are schools allowed to select the countries they wish to represent?

No. In order to ensure a fair distribution of country assignments, participating schools will not be allowed to choose their own countries.

What must delegates have prepared before the start of the conference?

Delegates must arrive at the conference with their clauses ready to be submitted. The drafting of opening speeches is not mandatory, yet highly advised. Delegates should have also done thorough research on the topics that will be debated.

Does SPIMUN provide preparation assistance to delegates?

To clear up any doubts or if any additional help is required, delegates are always welcome to contact their chairs, or the following members of the Secretariat:

Secretary-General: goncalo.sousa.4405@edu.stpeters.pt

Deputy Secretary-General: mafalda.dias.4087@edu.stpeters.pt

soraya.ally.4225@edu.stpeters.pt
